  • How often should I clean the skimmer and pump basket
At a minimum all baskets should be cleaned once a week, more often during wind storms or when trees around the pool are losing their leaves.
  • What are the ideal pH and alkalinity levels for my pool?
When we look at water chemistry we talk about acceptable ranges. The reason why an exact number may not be correct is due to a measurement called LSI which takes all the readings and gives the water a corrosive vs. scaling score. That being said typically 7.4-7.6 pH is ideal with 80-120 alkalinity being ideal for concrete pools.
  • What does cloudy pool water mean?
Generally cloudy pool water means either your water chemistry is unbalanced, your filter is dirty or your turn over rate is too slow.
